Welcome to the State Report!
State Report Overview
The State Report is an annual event for the 5th grade. Each student chooses a state. As the students learn about their states, they will create reports, maps, replicas of state flags, and brochures. During the process, 5th graders will learn valuable research, writing, word processing, and time management skills.

Resources for Research
One of the objectives of the state report is to teach students to be responsible researchers. When researching, students need to find information that is reliable and they need to cite all of their sources. Below are some helpful links.
No need to shop around to learn about your state quarter. The US mint is ready to tell you all about it!
- The World Book Encyclopedia. There is a set in the classroom, the school library, and Bristol Public Library has World Book Encyclopedias available for check out.
- Each student has a book about his or her state
